Patient Services Manager – $1,000 Sign On Bonus

Status: Full Time – 32 to 40 hours per week
Location: Tyler Foote, Oregon House, and Nevada City locations
Pay: Fair market compensation; varies depending upon experience

The Patient Services Manager provides oversight of the day-to-day functions of Center front desk operations, patient registration, scheduling processes, patient payments, and supervision of staff. By consistently cultivating a strong team culture and collaborative environment, this position provides support staff with the operational structure, process, and resource management necessary to meet both the needs of patients and the financial objectives of the organization.

As a Federally Qualified Rural Health Clinic (FQHC), we provide compassionate and quality medical, dental, chiropractic, and behavioral health care to meet the needs of our culturally diverse community, including the indigent and medically underserved populations of Nevada and Yuba counties.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversees the daily workflow of front office operations, including supervision of staff
  • Ensures proper application of patient insurance, and other payments.
  • Creates a professional and friendly atmosphere for all patients, staff and visitors.
  • Manages patient/provider schedule
  • Interfaces regularly with Nurse Manager regarding process improvements
  • Manages walk-in requests for appointments and sees that they are processed according to established procedures
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work
  • Observes established policies and procedures which include confidentiality, safety, infection control and other environmental regulations


Essential Requirements

  • 2-year associate degree required; 4-year degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of office management experience (healthcare experience preferred) including experience with cash collections, payment arrangements
  • Knowledge and experience using Electronic Health Records and Practice management software as well as Microsoft Office (proficient in Excel & Word), Quick Books preferred
  • High attention to detail
  • Outstanding verbal, written and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Superior organization skills
